About Faculty

The Department of Applied Mathematics is one of several departments at AGH. Our University is located in the heart of Krakow. The main building, A0, can be easily recognizised by the statue of St. Barbara. The building is at number 30 Mickiewicza street, and other buildings are located in area stretching around Mickiewicza, Reymonta and Czarnowiejska street.

The two main buildings of our department are A3-A4 and B7. In A3-A4, on the third floor, the offices of the dean are located, also located there in faculty and administrative office and upstairs are the computer labs. The building B7 is where most of the classes are help. Also here is another dean's office and the faculty library.

The three main activities to the Department of Applied Mathematics are science, the study of mathematics and to provide staff to teach mathematics in other faculties at AGH.

Data on faculty research activities and scientific cooperation can be found on the sub-page Research.
